THE MISSION OF APRS
Our mission is to guide all individuals toward their health goals. Through preventing and treating injuries, by listening to and educating our community, we will empower our patients to achieve optimal performance.
THE HISTORY OF APRS
Gary and Mary Jo Lusin forged their way from Missoula to Bozeman in 1981 to start Bozeman Physical Therapy Center. This physical therapy practice was centered on providing excellent physical therapy care to those in the Gallatin Valley and beyond at a reasonable cost.
Gary had just graduated from the University of Montana Physical Therapy Program, as a member of the first graduating class of this new program. Mary Jo, a graduate of Mayo Clinic Physical TherapyProgram, had been practicing since 1975.
The practice was originally located in the Medical Arts Building north of downtown Bozeman. In 2003 we moved to our current location on Ellis Street. This continues as our East Clinic, with the addition of the new Bozeman West Clinic in 2013.
In 1997 we re-branded the company to “Advanced Performance and Rehabilitation Services, Inc.,” to emphasize a more accurate picture of the services we provide to the community. Our focus of providing the very best in preventive care, performance enhancement, and rehabilitative services through the highest trained quality therapists was better summarized in this new name.
In order for the practice to continue through the “next generation” and beyond, additional partners have come on board. This transition began in 2007 with John Sveen becoming a partner and has continued with the addition of Kevin Pancich in 2009, Kelsey Wadsworth in 2012, and John-HenryAnderson in 2014. Mary Jo and Gary continue to be active in the business’ growth and goals for the future.
